Femme Occulte: 2022 Issue 12 Winter - Touch & Smell
Welcome to the fourth and final season of the year. Once again, Femme Occulte texts and creations will gladly accompany it. Winter is a time of imaginary ending, transformation, and reflection, which is why most of our chapters conclude their year-long cycle at a natural pace.
This is particularly the case with the three main themes we opened this spring. We climbed the Kabbalistic tree of Sefirot to its crown, made up of the Sefirot Binah, Chokhmah, and Keter. In the wheel of Cerridwen, it became the time for one last transformation, reflection, shadow work, and contemplation, before its early spring restart. In Taoist magic, the last two trigrams, Earth and Fire, will care for us.
Words and magical practices focusing on the body and senses will introduce us to the correspondences of the winter element - Earth. The human body will be glimpsed through the Zodiac Man, and explored through the senses of touch and smell. Aphrodite, imbued with tender care, will assist us in gentle shadow work with her self-love ritual.
From the earthly spheres, we will visit the higher and astral places. This time, we will deal with them through necromancy in the ancient tradition, work with spirits in the Old path, through the guide of our soul in the Germanic concept, or with dreams and stories.
The chapter on the twelve incense nights will take us along the border of worlds, which is now only a thin line. The spirit of willow tree may embrace us during the magical work. Winter recipes will help ground us after the sacred experience worthy of the Knight of Discs.
We hope you enjoy the time of snuggling comfortably in warm blankets, talking to ancestors over a hot cup of their favourite beverage, and interpreting oracles.
All this we bring you under the guise of the winter atmosphere of Femme Occulte.
