EAVA: Issue 2 - Roots

A5 perfect-bound, 120 pages on recycled paper. A collection of East Anglian art, essays & folklore.

Imagery of the region’s unique mix of flora are dispersed through this issue, to be discovered like dried flowers pressed between the pages.

Under the wide skies and dead-flat swathes of East Anglian open country, timeless spaces linger just beyond the boundaries of perfected lawns and paved roads, inviting us to meander away and rejoin the uncultivated world for a while.

We wanted to explore how artists are compelled by their entanglement with the natural world, and inspired to create, wherever we happen to put down roots.
