Coire Ansic: Issue 1

This issue of Coire is ‘bare bones’ with a focus on both traditional British craft work and gnostic ideas. The initial run of issue one was mainly shared around moots and meetings in the uk and welcomed debate and discussion in this setting. Articles included writings on Stonehenge, Comparing Traditions, Hagstones, Elizabethan witchcraft and the ethics of the continued mining of Lapis Lazuli among others. This issue contained reviews of the following books:

The Golden Bough – James George Frazer
The White Goddess – Robert Graves
The Devils Supper – Shani Oates

This issue included a featured article and interview with Carole Carlton, author of the Mrs Darley book series.

This issue was dedicated to the memory of Robert Cochrane
